The date is June 16, 2021. We awoke from a deep slumber and headed out to get breakfast. The waffles tasted amazing and delicious. We met an awesome taxi driver and the best comedian in the US Virgin Islands, Jermaine. He is a classical man of “Cool Beans” culture. Then, we ventured to the UVI (University of the Virgin Islands) and we absorbed information of the fascinating corals of the USVI. After the corals we would snorkel and test our knowledge of diseases and different types of corals. We soon got back and met with Jermaine, drove to the hotel we stayed at and packed up and headed off to the ferry. With the speed of flash, we packed up and within no time we made it. We ended up walking the wrong way trying to head to Subway for lunch, at first but once we finally got heading in the right direction, we got the food and headed back to wait for the rest of the groups. While waiting we were able to acquire custom cards and a few of us filled one out for our first time. We got on the ferry and headed to the BVI. Once arriving at the BVI ports, we waited for what seemed forever at the customs line. Arriving upon the docks a few of the campers stayed behind to stack the bags up on the dock. Once we settled into our boats we went to get dinner of gourmet hot dogs and headed to bed on the deck for a night together as a family and camp group then formed the bond of “The Golden Groupers”: our group name we all decided was good for the FATHOMS group.
